Pixi+ is looking to help over 100 million American households easily find what to watch next – and later go global
Washington, D.C., U.S.A. – Pixi Plus Inc. today announced the successful completion of the first version, or MVP, of Pixi+ (“Pixi Plus”). Pixi+ promises to be the only app users will ever need to find the next great movie or show to stream next. By giving users personalized recommendations across all of their streaming services in a single app, Pixi+ makes it easy and painless to find the next great movie or show. Pixi+ also makes it easy to find something everyone will love when watching with friends, family, or on date night.
Pixi Plus Inc. completed a simple MVP in late May 2023, which included three out of five planned feature sets that would make up the complete app. After evaluating initial user feedback, the Pixi+ team decided to finish all five planned feature sets, completing the remaining two ahead of schedule in just one month.
Critical to the successful development of the Pixi+ MVP was the use of Draftbit Experts to build the app frontend (the visual layer of the app users see and interact with) and prototype backend (the data processing and logic that powers the frontend), and the addition of Co-Founder and CTO Marvin Maio Wang to the team to develop a mature backend on the Google Cloud platform.
Draftbit (draftbit.com), a leader in streamlined native app development, launched an international app idea competition at the end of 2022, in part to demonstrate the capability of its newly launched Experts plans. Pixi+ was selected as the winner of the competition, resulting in a successful MVP after just three months of pro bono app development.

Pixi+ will now turn its efforts towards the completion of its website, early buzz and waitlist signup, pre-launch user testing, and exploring our options to finance the first 18 months of operations.
